Daigle v. Tremblay (1989)

Download factum:

Chantal Daigle's ex-boyfriend attempted to impose an injunction against Daigle from having an abortion. The Quebec Court of Appeal upheld the injunction. The Supreme Court of Canada, however, overturned the injunction, agreeing with LEAF's position that it was in violation of the sex equality provisions of both the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and the Quebec Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms.
