The Board of Governor’s of Saint Mary’s University in Halifax has reversed its decision to eliminate its women’s hockey team.  Faced with a budget crunch, the board previously axed the women’s (and only the women’s) team.  What were they thinking?!  Faced with throngs of protestors, national media coverage, and a timely, generous donation of $60,000 from Canadian Tire, the board has now apologized to the women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
