Role Overview<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

LEAF is hiring a Fundraising Coordinator to support the organization\u2019s fundraising work from July 2023 to June 2024.  Reporting to the Fund Development Manager, the Fundraising Coordinator will assist and provide general support to the overall fundraising operations of LEAF. The ideal candidate will bring first-hand experience in non profit fund development and operations, including donor engagement and stewardship, prospect research, event planning, and other special projects. The ideal individual will have strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills and will contribute to the success of LEAF\u2019s fundraising program. This is a hybrid position; the Fundraising Coordinator will be expected to work out of LEAF National\u2019s office in downtown Toronto for two to three days a week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

LEAF is a national non-profit organization which uses law to advance gender equality in Canada. Our national office is based in Toronto, and we have volunteer branches in Edmonton, Thunder Bay, Ottawa, Kingston, Toronto, Hamilton, Windsor, Montr\u00e9al, and Halifax. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We intervene in legal cases throughout Canada to advance equality in Canada \u2013 helping to prevent violence, eliminate discrimination in the workplace, provide better maternity benefits, ensure a right to pay equity, and allow access to reproductive freedoms. We push for progressive law reform on issues central to gender equality, including sexual violence, online hate, technology-facilitated gender-based violence, and basic income. We use education to amplify our legal victories, and improve people\u2019s understanding of their rights. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who You Are<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You are a fundraiser with a passion for gender equality. You bring an intersectional feminist lens to your work \u2013 including your analysis, collaborations, and communication style. You have experience working with donor relationship management databases. You have knowledge or experience in fund development, fundraising, or grant writing. You have experience working as part of a team, and welcome the opportunity to get involved with communications and event organization. You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and are excited to work with our team to advance gender equality in Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
