Join LEAF, LEAF Toronto<\/a>, and Survivors for Justice Reform<\/a> for a free screening of The Limits of Forgiveness, <\/em>a documentary film on survivor and activist Marlee Liss\u2019 choice to pursue a restorative justice sentencing for her sexual assault case.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Ontario, Crown Policy D.4 has denied survivors of sexual assault the choice to divert their cases from a criminal trial to a restorative justice process for over 30 years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grounded in Marlee\u2019s unprecedented legal journey, this film weaves together expert voices, survivor stories, and the realities of a court system where the vast majority of sexual assault cases never reach trial. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The screening will be followed by an audience Q&A. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
