{"id":5120,"date":"2014-02-03T21:43:19","date_gmt":"2014-02-04T02:43:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.leaf.ca\/?p=5120"},"modified":"2020-10-26T05:59:24","modified_gmt":"2020-10-26T09:59:24","slug":"law-society-of-bc-agrees-to-public-process","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.leaf.ca\/fr\/news\/law-society-of-bc-agrees-to-public-process\/","title":{"rendered":"Law Society of BC agrees to public process"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Last week, West Coast LEAF and other human rights and equality-seeking organizations <a href=\"http:\/\/www.westcoastleaf.org\/userfiles\/file\/Letter%20to%20Law%20Society%20of%20BC%20re%20TWU%20accreditation%202014.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">wrote a letter to the Law Society of BC <\/a>requesting a public and transparent process for determining whether to accredit Trinity Western University&rsquo;s proposed school of law. Many members of the public and the legal profession have raised concerns about TWU&rsquo;s discriminatory admission and regulatory policies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are delighted to share that the Law Society of BC is inviting input from lawyers and the general public as it considers TWU&rsquo;s new law school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Submissions may be sent by email to submissions@lsbc.org or by mail to The Law Society of BC &#8211; Attention: Executive Director, 845 Cambie Street, Vancouver, BC, V6B 4Z9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Submissions must be received before March 3, 2014 and will be made available to TWU and may be made publicly available.
