{"id":18330,"date":"1993-06-01T15:43:00","date_gmt":"1993-06-01T19:43:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.leaf.ca\/?post_type=publication&#038;p=18330"},"modified":"2020-12-04T09:20:56","modified_gmt":"2020-12-04T14:20:56","slug":"consultation-report","status":"publish","type":"publication","link":"https:\/\/www.leaf.ca\/fr\/publication\/consultation-report\/","title":{"rendered":"LEAF Paper on Consultations with Lesbian Communities"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>LEAF obtained funding from the Court Challenges Program and the Ontario Women&rsquo;s Directorate to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Engage in research to identify the policies, objectives, and provisions of the <em>Income Tax Act <\/em>which in effect disadvantage lesbian and gay relationships (including a review of lesbian and gay equality cases to date)<\/li><li>Consult with lesbians from diverse communities, including Indigenous communities, Black communities, and communities of persons with disabilities, to begin the process of developing strategies for challenging legislation such as the <em>Income Tax Act<\/em>.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Carol Allen organized consultations with 150 individuals and organizational representatives, and completed this report.<\/p>\n\n\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.leaf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/1993-06-Submission-Litigation-For-Lesbians-LEAFs-Report-On-Consultations-With-The-Lesbian-Community.pdf\" class=\"pdfemb-viewer\" style=\"\" data-width=\"max\" data-height=\"max\" data-toolbar=\"bottom\" data-toolbar-fixed=\"off\">1993-06-Submission-Litigation-For-Lesbians-LEAFs-Report-On-Consultations-With-The-Lesbian-Community<\/a>\n<p class=\"wp-block-pdfemb-pdf-embedder-viewer\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"categories":[],"tags":[439,99,438],"class_list":["post-18330","publication","type-publication","status-publish","hentry","tag-consultation","tag-equality","tag-lgbt"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
