In January 2024, LEAF Winnipeg wrote to the Manitoba Minister of Justice and the Minister of Families regarding the backlogs of complaints made to the Manitoba Human Rights Commission (MHRC). These extensive delays\u2014often a two years wait after filing to have an investigation team assigned to a case, and even longer to reach a resolution\u2014create an undeniable access to justice problem. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
