ROLE OVERVIEW

LEAF is hiring an Office Coordinator to support LEAF’s national office. This is a one-year contract with an ideal start date of September 8, 2025. There is a possibility that this contract may be extended. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the successful candidate will be an important contributor to the organization, supporting a range of office and administrative functions. Some of the work performed by this role includes coordinating travel and accommodation arrangements for staff and Board members, assisting in the accounts receivable/accounts payable process, and supporting the day-to-day work of the leadership team.

WHO WE ARE

LEAF is a national non-profit, charitable organization which uses law to advance gender equality in Canada. Our national office is located in downtown Toronto, or Tkarón:to, which is a Mohawk word that means “the place in the water where trees are standing.” We have volunteer branches in Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, Saskatchewan, Thunder Bay, Windsor, Kitchener-Waterloo, Hamilton, London, Toronto, Kingston, Ottawa, Quebec, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Halifax.

We intervene in legal cases throughout Canada to advance equality in Canada – helping to prevent violence, eliminate discrimination in the workplace, provide better maternity and parental benefits, ensure a right to pay equity, and expand access to reproductive freedoms. We push for progressive law reform on issues central to gender equality, including sexual violence, online hate, technology-facilitated gender-based violence, and pay equity. We use education to amplify our legal victories and improve people’s understanding of their rights.
