“It is an honour and privilege to be given the opportunity to be at the helm of such a well-regarded organization. The accomplishments of LEAF over the past 31 years have been groundbreaking. The crisis currently facing Indigenous communities in Canada is a reminder that continued advocacy for human rights and equality for women and girls must remain a priority. I am delighted to be working alongside such an esteemed board of directors, staff and volunteers as LEAF continues to help build an inclusive legal framework for girls and women in Canada.”
