The LEAF team offers our warmest condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of Karen Busby.
Karen was a champion of human rights who made deep and lasting contributions to LEAF’s work, both in Manitoba and at the national level. She generously shared her expertise on obscenity law, censorship, sexuality, and sexual violence, including as a member of LEAF’s National Legal Committee (now the Law Program Committee) and as co-counsel in Little Sisters Book & Art Emporium et al. v. Minister of Justice et al.
We hope to honour Karen’s legacy in our work, as we continue to be inspired by her dedication to justice.
