LEAF litigates, advocates, and educates to remove systemic barriers that have existed in Canadian society for centuries.
Donations ensure LEAF can remain on the frontlines, whether it be in a court of law or in front of a legislature.
Learn about LEAF’s over 40 years of feminist legal advocacy here.
- Since 1985, LEAF has been involved in over 150 legal cases and public inquiries to advocate for the substantive equality of women, girls, trans and non-binary people.
- LEAF has advocated for survivors by intervening in almost all precedent-setting sexual assault cases at the Supreme Court of Canada.
- From 2024-2025, we’ve made significant strides together:
“For decades, I have been proud to support LEAF — it is central to women’s rights in Canada – combining complex analysis with broad advocacy and education. LEAF’s Abortion Access Tracker is a prime example of how they deliver cutting edge tools to women across our country, driving real change. Keep up the great work, LEAF!”
